Beatrice Ann Moore, 71, of Union Bridge passed away suddenly at her home on Monday, January 8, 2018.
Born December 17, 1946 in Princeton, WV, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Willis A. Johnson and Sadie Annie Lynch Johnson.
Beatrice worked for many years as a bus aide with Montgomery County Public Schools. After retiring, she worked with her sister-in-law cleaning homes for DART Cleaning. She loved planting her flowers and collecting baby dolls and other things. The greatest love of her life were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Billy R. Moore; three children, Wanda Harris and husband, Charles, of Hagerstown; William Moore and wife, Genia, of Williamsport; and Annette Reese of Walkersville; seven grandchildren, Gregory Moore, Apryl Jones, Samuel Harris, Tyler Moore, Kaylynn Moore, Destiny Reese, and Cheyenne Reese; eight great-grandchildren; three brothers, Bobby Johnson of Saluda, SC, Wiley Johnson of Walkersville, and Donald Johnson of Smithsburg; numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in law; aunts; uncles; and will be remembered fondly by her former son-in-law, Ronnie Reese.
She was preceded in death by her parents; aunts; uncles; and a great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, where a funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 12.
She will be laid to rest at Mt. Prospect Cemetery in Lewistown.
