Beatrice Evans
June 22, 1920 — July 14, 2016
Beatrice Dorothy Evans, 96 passed away peacefully on July 14, 2016. “Miss Bea” was being visited and comforted by family members and staff at Tranquility of Fredericktowne in Frederick, MD at the time of her passing.
Beatrice was born in Reading, PA on June 22, 1920. She was the last surviving child of the late Howard and Gertrude Focht.
She will be missed deeply by her family and friends. All who knew her will remember her beautiful smile and her love for her family and friends. She brought joy to all who knew her. She was in Hospice care since January 2016. Beatrice’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Tranquility of Fredericktowne and Hospice of Frederick County for their compassionate care.
Beatrice was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Evans, Sr. who died on November 21, 1997.
She is survived by her son, George Evans and wife Marian of Walkersville, MD, three granddaughters, Traci Nelson and husband Darrin of Knoxville, MD, Kristi Gordon and husband David of Easton, PA, Wendi Kishimoto and husband Scott of Middletown, MD, seven great-grandchildren, Nathaniel Gordon, Tyler Kishimoto, Emily Gordon, Caroline Kishimoto, Jami Nelson, Leta Gordon, and Brady Kishimoto.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 19th at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD. The Rev. Marv Tollefson of Zion Lutheran Church, Middletown, MD will officiate. Interment will be immediately following the service at Glade Cemetery, Walkersville, MD.
