Beatrice Egloff

Beatrice Betty (Sprouls) Egloff of The Village at Fahrney-Keedy passed away Monday, January 11, 2021.

Born on December 25, 1928 in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles L.M. and Beatrice Lillian Mander Sprouls.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Herman Edward Egloff, on August 18, 2005 and brothers, Charles Mander Sprouls, and Donald Gary Sprouls; and cousin, Edward Plews.

"Bea" attended Olney High School in Philadelphia, PA.  She was a member of Otterbein U.M. Church, Otterbein Senior Citizen Group and the Prayer Shawl Ministry.  She was a past Sunday School teacher at Benevola U.M. Church, past president of the Boonsboro Band Boosters, past treasurer of the Boonsboro Lioness Club, “Cheer" Lady of the Red Red Robins (Red Hat Group). Bea also bowled on the Ladies Suburban League and loved to travel, especially on cruises.

Beatrice is survived by her daughters, Susan Carol Reeder and husband, Dean L. Reeder, Charlene Ann Kaetzel and husband, Jerry (Pete) Kaetzel, Jr.; grandchildren, Jason D. Reeder and wife, Erin, Bryan A. Reeder and wife, Dana, Scott F. Kaetzel, Andrew M. Kaetzel and wife, Jackie, and Nathan P. Kaetzel and wife, Kim.  She is also survived by her 17 great-grandchilden.  Beatrice is also survived by a brother, John E. Sprouls; as well as a sister-in-law, Barbara Sprouls.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 18, 2021 at the Boonsboro Cemetery. Rev. R. Thomas Fralin, Jr. will officiate. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, masks and social distancing will be required.

Memorials donations may be made to the Otterbein U.M. Church Building Fund, c/o the Otterbein U.M. Church in Hagerstown and to the Humane Society of Washington County .
