Barbara Brown Manos
June 18, 1926 — June 14, 2009
Mrs. Barbara Brown Manos, 83, died on June 14th, 2009. Born in Arlington, MA, she was the wife of the late Nicholas Manos.
She graduated in statistics from George Washington University. She volunteered tirelessly with NAMI ( National Alliance on Mental Illness ), participated in NIH's Women's Health Initiative, was a life long blood donor and was active in Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, Frederick.
Surviving are her brother, Donald Brown ( Frances ), of New Hampshire; children: Steven Manos ( Nancy ), Poolesville; Susan Manos Nahwooksy, Frederick; Bonnie Willow Deetz ( Gary ), Colorado; Peter Manos, Poolesville; and Michael Manos ( Elaine Reinhold ), New Market; and grandchildren: Nick, John, Eleni, Danielle, Madeline, Curtis, Jamie and Andy.

Services: Memorial service will be held on June 19th at 4:00 p.m at Mt. Carmel UMC (301-662-1303) and family will receive visitors at 6:00 p.m.
