Barbara Ann {Bobbie} Gilbert

Barbara Ann Gilbert Bobbie 77 of Woodsboro, Maryland passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2008. She was the wife of the late Alton Bunce Gilbert.

Born March 21, 1931 in Frederick, Maryland she was the daughter of the late Louis and Lurline Gardner.

Bobbie was a bus driver for the Scott Key Center for over 20 years.

She enjoyed playing cards, cooking, bingo and she was an avid sports enthusiast. She loved watching her grandchildren playing sports and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her six children, Debbie Zimmerman and husband John of Walkersville, MD, Jill Fouche and husband Jerry of Mt. Pleasant, Pam Williams and husband Mike of Frederick, Kim Gilbert of Woodsboro, Tammy Sharrer of Woodsboro and Tim Gilbert and Beth Wyand of Walkersville, nine grandchildren, Bret and Britney Fouche, JT, Jayme and Jenna Zimmerman, Garrett and Kaitlyn Gilbert, Erik Williams and Zoe Sharrer. She will also be remembered by her special friend Patty Whitmore and all of her friends at the Woodsboro condos.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a brother, Bunky Gardner.

Serving as pallbearers will be her grandchildren.

Visitation: The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 40 Fulton Ave., Walkersville on Thursday, May 22 from 3-5 and 7-9 PM.

Services: Funeral services will be held at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 40 Fulton Ave., Walkersville, on Friday, May 23 at 11:00 AM with Rev. David Beeson officiating.
Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
