Barbara A. Brown

Ms. Barbara A. Brown, 57, of Frederick, died Thursday, April 30, 2009.

Barbara is survived by her devoted companion, of ten years, Robert Jackson.

Born July 15, 1951 in Frederick, she was the daughter of Doshie E. Brown and the late George D.Brown, Sr.

She was employed at North Hampton Nursing Home, where she retired after 16 years of service. She also worked at Blue Ridge News. Barbara loved spending time with her family and was also commonly referred to as the Mother Hen of the family. She loved cooking, planning events for the family, and was a devoted believer in her religion.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories, one son Anthony Lee Brown,six brothers, William Brown, Sr. (Serena), George Brown, Jr, Earl Brown, David Brown (Marie), Irvin Delauter, Sr. (Pammy), Ivan Delauter and three sisters Mary Brown, Earlina Brown and Rose Brown (William) all of Frederick. Many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. She will also be remembered by her devoted friends Joanne Snowden, Gail Brammah, Sally Allison and many others.

Services: The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Friday, May 8, from 9:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m.
