Barbara (Zimmerman) Glausier

December 2, 1934 — February 5, 2010

Due to the inclement weather, the family will receive friends for the announced times on Wednesday, February 10, 2009 of 7 - 9 p.m.   In additon, the family will be available on Thursday, February 11, 2009 from Noon until the service begins at 2 p.m.

Barbara Jean (Zimmerman) Glausier, 75, of Boonsboro, Maryland passed away on Friday, February 5, 2010.

Born on December 2, 1934 in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Alfred C. Zimmerman and Jean (Shank) Zimmerman.

She was preceded in death by one son, R. Keith Glausier.

Barbara was a 1952 graduate of Boonsboro High School.  As well as being a homemaker, she was active in different organizations.

Barbara was a lifetime member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Boonsboro, where she served on the Altar Guild, taught Sunday school, and sang in the choir. She was an active member of the Washington County Republican Club and worked as Chief Election Judge in District 6.

She is survived by her husband, Robert E. Glausier; one son, Charles A. Glausier and wife Janet of Ashburn, Virginia; one sister; Sara A. Sweeney and her husband, Robert of Boonsboro, Maryland; three grandchildren, Bradley, Kelley, and Ashley Glausier all of Ashburn, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Bast-Sauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, Maryland on Thursday, February, 11, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Joseph I. Donovan, III officiating.  Interment will follow at Boonsboro Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 10, from 7 to 9 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Thursday, at the funeral home.
