Barbara Sullivan

Barbara B. Sullivan , 70, of Frederick, Maryland, went home to the Lord on Monday, June 20, 2016.

Born on May 4, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Theodore A. and Dorothy N. Smith Brassard.

Barbara enjoyed two careers in her lifetime that she enjoyed; first as a nurse and then later as a teacher.  She enjoyed knitting and crafts, spending time with her family and being retired.

She was a member of the Calvary Assembly of God Church, in Walkersville, MD.

Barbara is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years, Patrick M. Sullivan, Sr.; son, Patrick M. Sullivan, II and wife, Tina, of Frederick; and a granddaughter, Kaitlyn Sullivan. She is also survived by her brother, Theodore Brassard and wife, Jean, of Many, LA; her sister Mary Alexander, and husband Charlie, of Pomfret Center, CT; and her sister, Janet L. Brassard, of Alexandria, VA; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Shawna Sullivan.

The family will receive friends from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday, June 24, 2016, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD.  Pastor John Kenney will officiate.  Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Emmitsburg, MD.

In lieu of flowers, memorials donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Stauffer Funeral Home in Frederick.
