Barbara Schell

Barbara Ann "Bobbi" Biddinger Schell, 78, of Jefferson, MD, passed away at her home with her family by her side Friday, April 29, 2016. She has shared the last 13 years of her life with her companion Jerry Jenkins of Jefferson.

Born April 27, 1938 in Frederick, MD, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Mildred Biddinger.

Bobbi attended Frederick High School. In her early years, she was a waitress and a hostess then was a local Frederick County vocalist entertaining for private parties and local venues. She was a former member of Faith Baptist Church in Petersville, MD.

With a sweet and gentle spirit Bobbi exemplified kindness and generosity to all who crossed her path. She was a collector of all things having a green thumb tending to her flowers, gardens and plants. She dearly loved her home that she opened and welcomed to many. Bobbi fondly loved "Inky" her black cat and her turtle habitat which she had maintained for nearly 35 years.

In addition to her companion, she is survived by daughter, Angela Rae Dixon and Ken Shank, stepdaughter, Beth Ann Schell and Tyler Potts, all of Greencastle, PA; brother, Donald Biddinger of Jefferson and sister, Janet Fogle of Frederick; two grandchildren, Logan Ray Dixon and Blake Edward Dixon; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond J. Schell; her infant son, Jeffrey Doody; step daughter, Donna "DeeDee" Schell Trush; and brother, Earl Biddinger.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 4th at the funeral home in Frederick with Pastor Curtis King officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Frederick.
