Barbara Painter

Barbara Louise Painter, passed away on August 1^st, 2022 at her home with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Woodrow Wilson Painter.

Born on April 2, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Walter Carter and Helen (Reed) Carter. She was the sister of Alice, Grace, Nancy, Patsy and Donnie Carter. Barbara attended Poolesville School and married Woodrow on April 13, 1955. She worked for many years as a laundry supervisor.

She resided with her daughter Wanda McIntyre and fiancé George Hurta and grandchildren, Ian, Mariah and Bryan McIntyre and also with Wade Ray for the last 20 years. She is also survived by her daughter Donna Shepley and husband Richard, daughter Barbara Jones and husband Gary, and son Ralph Painter. She was blessed with 16 grandchildren 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-greatchild.

The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Sunday, August 7, 2022, at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, MD 21713.

A funeral service will be held at 11am on Monday, August 8, 2022, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Beaver Creek Cemetery.
