Barbara Hamrick

Mrs. Barbara Lee “Bobbie” Hamrick, 79 of Frederick went to be with her Lord on Thursday March 20, 2014 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Richard D. Hamrick.
Born on October 18, 1934 in Maryland she was the daughter of the late John H. and Helen Bruchey Fogle.
Barbara had worked for Taylors Five and Dime, Frederick Tailoring, Arlenes Department Store, Frederick City Police as a Crossing Guard, Security with Boone Investigation and Frederick Computer Products. Her children and family will always remember her as a mom who raised five children and managed to work outside the home. She was very active with Highlighters Majorette and Drum Corp.
Surviving are her children Charles Austin “Punky” Easterday Jr. and wife Bonnie, Vicki Lynn Lydard and husband Ronald Sr., Johnia Lee Hamrick, Tina Darlene Hewett and husband Allen and Dawn Lynn Leatherman. Grandchildren Brian, Joy, Ronnie Jr., Kelly, Brandon, Brittany, Jerica and Whittney. 12 Great Grandchildren. Sister Darlene McKnight and husband Frank. She was preceded in death by her sister Jacqueline Goode and also her loving companion Yorkie “Cookie” who she missed so much.
Visitation will be held from 5-9pm on Monday March 24, 2014 at the Frederick Church of The Brethren, 201 Fairview Avenue, Frederick where Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday March 25, 2014. Pastor Paul Mundey and Rev. Tim May will officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
Pallbearers will be Clay Smith, Zach Flagle, Brian Easterday, Frank McKnight, Chris Tanner and Matt Wetzel.
Flowers are welcome but those desiring may make contributions to the Frederick Church of the Brethren.
