Mrs. Barbara Anne Fratis, 82, of Frederick, Maryland, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Leo Fratis.
Born February 4, 1932 in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Honore Tobin Murphy.
Mrs. Fratis was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church where she enjoyed volunteering. Barbara loved spending time with her family especially her grandsons. She enjoyed spending time at the Jersey Shore, reading, crossword puzzles and her dogs.
She is survived by two sons Leo Fratis of Frederick and Lawrence Fratis and wife Brianne of Stafford, VA, three grandsons Brendan, John and Dylan Fratis and a sister Rosemary Deckert of CA. She was preceded in death by a sister Honore Murphy.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, March 22, at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church, 8651 Biggs Ford Road, Walkersville, MD.
A graveside service will be held Monday, March 24, at 1:00 pm, from St. Dominic’s Cemetery, Philadelphia, PA .
In lieu of flowers, donations, in her name, to St. Katharine Drexel Building Fund, 8428 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD 21702.
