Barbara Lynn “Barb” Day, 68, of Mt. Airy, MD, died Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at the home of her daughter in Greencastle, PA.
Born November 28, 1946 in Ridgeville, MD, she was the daughter of the late Charlotte Evelyn Layman and Jesse Henry “Doc” Clark.
For nearly 20 years, Barb was a loving and compassionate registered nurse for Frederick Internal Medicine and Endocrinology Services.
She is survived by her husband, Charles E. “Charlie” Day; son, Ronnie B. Sexton of Frederick, MD, daughters, Brenda Day McVey of Adamstown, MD, Khrysti L. Sexton Davis of Greencastle, PA, Brandi N. Day Miller of Thurmont, MD and daughter, Ashleigh D. Day of Frederick, MD; grandchildren, Joshua B. Sexton, Erin L. Sexton, Shannon M. McVey, Leanne M. McVey, Taylar B. Thompson, Jordan N. Thompson, Bailey N. Hopkins, Ryleigh B. Davis, Brandon K. Ball, Derrik L. Miller, Bodie J. Miller, Mikayla S. Smith, and Dalton L. Day; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Jesse “Dick” Clark of Myersville, MD.
Barb was preceded in death by sisters, Betty Jean Clark Gaver and Carol Ann Lucille “Cookie” Clark Brust; and a sister-in-law, L. Jeanette Clark.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, March 16 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick.
Memorial services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 17 at Stauffer Funeral Home, Frederick with Pastor Eddie Hartman officiating.
