Barbara Day

Barbara Ann Day, 59, suddenly, but peacefully passed away in the comfort of her home on September 8, 2017. A private family internment will be at a later date. Barbara is survived by her daughter, Lindsay Lockhart (Michael) King, parents, Joanne Boyd Martin and Allen Lockhart Boyd; ex-husband, William Howard Day Jr., step father, Robert Martin and her 4 step siblings. Barbara was predeceased by her brother James Lockhart Boyd.

Barbara has always been a loving and devoted mother to Lindsay and a devoted and loving friend to many, especially to her best friends, Carlos Larraz and Elise Franz Lester. She loved to garden. Flowers and building gardens were her passion along with making beaded jewelry in her spare time. Barbara was known for making people smile by her kindness and high spirited personality. She was part of the Frederick County Humane Society's foster mother program for kittens. Barbara took a passion in helping little kittens grow to be strong and healthy so they could find a loving home. Barbara will be missed by a host of other relatives and friends, but her memories will never be forgotten.
