Barbara Aleshire

Barbara A. Aleshire, 83, of Gettysburg, PA, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at her home.

Born on September 10, 1940, in College Park, MD, she was the daughter of Joseph Scovitch and Blanche (Daniels) Scovitch.

Barbara graduated from high school at St. Patrick's Academy in Washington, DC. She worked as an Executive Officer (GS15) for the Federal Aviation Administration. 

She is survived by her husband, Paul "Wes” Garrison, 2 brothers, Leon and Robert Scovitch and her sister Catherine Walsh. She is also survived by her 2 stepsons, 13 nieces/nephews and 21 great nieces and nephews.

 In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Ernest Aleshire, her stepson Ernest Aleshire Jr., her sister Loretta Middaugh and her nephew Robert Middaugh. 

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick, MD.

A celebration of Barbara's life journey will take place at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at the funeral home. Interment will be later in the week at Cheltenham Veteran's Cemetery in Cheltenham, MD.
