Audrey Lee Ellis Goodman

Mrs. Audrey Lee Ellis Goodman, 86, of Frederick died on Tuesday April 14, 2009 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Jake Hoke Goodman who died on 1975.
Born on December 12, 1922 in Eure, North Carolina she was youngest of ten children born to the late James Melvin and Nanny Blanche Matthews Ellis. She is the last of her siblings.
After raising her children she worked for Sears Roebuck for ten years. She enjoyed reading westerns and doing crossword puzzles.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Frederick and Frederick Chapter # 79 Order of the Eastern Star.
Surviving are two daughters Helen Mimsie Goodman and Nancy Lee Goodman, also beloved granddaughter Helen Lee Ann Goodman. She will be especially missed by a special nephew Wayne Larsen and wife Linda of Memphis, Missouri.

Services: Friends may call on Saturday April 18, 2009 from 11am to 1:00pm at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick where Eastern Star services will begin at 1:00pm followed by funeral services officiated by Pastor Burniss Barrett. Graveside services will be at a later date in Clustered Spires Cemetery, Frederick.
In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Mrs. Goodman's name should be made to the Frederick Chapter # 79 O. E. S. Attention Heart Fund in c/o Jacqueline Fox, 101 Deerfield Place, Frederick, MD 21702.
