Audrey Frances dePuy Phillips, 95, of Mt. Airy. MD., and for the past five years Sunrise Assisted Living of Frederick, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Frederick Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, July 27, 2016.
Born on September 19, 1920, in Tonawanda, NY, she was the daughter of the late Ephraim and Dorothy Woods dePuy. She was the wife of the late William Phillips, Jr., who died in 1985. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Jane Kendall, her great-granddaughter Scarlett Martin, and her son-in-law, Don Walker, Jr.
Audrey is survived by her four children, Michael (Sandy) Phillips of Chesapeake, VA, William (Karen) Phillips, III, Liz Walker all of Mt. Airy and Richard (Joy) Phillips of Frederick; nine grandchildren, Philip Walker, Holly (Jeff) Stull, all of New Market, Douglas (Jessa) Phillips of Denver, CO, Jeffrey (Ashley) Phillips of Seattle, WA, Kathryn (Kenny) Paul of Frederick, Todd Phillips of Seattle, WA, Zachary and David Phillips of Frederick, and Sarah Phillips-Martin, Chesapeake, VA.; 10 great-grandchildren, Caylin and McKenzieWalker, Haley, Braden, and Delaney Stull, Kathryn and Madelyn Phillips, Cordell and Caleb Martin and Ellie Paul.
The family would like to thank her doctors, special caregivers at Sunrise, especially the Reminiscence Community, nurses at FMH, and the Hospice staff of Frederick County for the excellent care she received.
