Athelbert O’Brien Ashby’s season ended June 29, 2011 at Frederick Memorial Hospital in the am hours. Mr. Ashby was born on September 14, 1934 in Christ Church, Barbados. He immigrated to the United States in 1971 and became a US citizen in 1993.
Survivors include, his wife Stella Ashby; his sons Hallam, Andy and Mervin; his daughters Suzetta, Nadine, Lorraine, Elenor and Gracelyn.
Mr. Ashby had a total of 7 siblings of which one sister and one brother is deceased. He is survived by 2 sisters and 3 brothers. His 20 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren will miss him greatly.
Mr. Ashby was a Minister at Grace Tabernacle Fellowship. He is mourned by many family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at the New Life Four Square Church, 5913 Jefferson Pike, Frederick, MD on Friday, July 8, at 11:00 a.m. Friends may visit with family from 10:00 to 11:00 am. Interment will be private.
