Mr. Arthur L. Embrey, 66, of Walkersville, died Wednesday, August 15, 2007. Born in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late Arthur S. Embrey and Jeanette Bjorndal Embrey.
Mr. Embrey was a graduate of McLean High School and Virginia Tech. Mr. Embrey's career was in Electrical Sales. After retirement, he worked with the Frederick County school system as a bus driver. He was a member of the Elks and an avid Redskins fan. His hobbies included genealogy, reading, photography and computers. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Mr. Embrey is survived by his beloved wife, Harriet; a son, Jason and his wife Jill of Grasonville; a daughter, Jennifer Edmonston and her husband Bert of Middletown; two sisters, Pemmie Sargent and her husband Courtney of Hoover, Al., and Janet Barker and her husband Bill of Phoenix, Az.; two granddaughters, Kendall and Caroline Embrey of Grasonville; father-in-law, Col. Harry C. Russell Sr. and his wife Catharine; and brother-in-law, Harry C. Russell Jr. all of Austin, Tx. He is also survived by five nephews and one niece.

Services: A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 24, 2007 at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD. There will be a visitation period with the family one hour prior to service. Inurnment will be private.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Embrey's honor to Hospice of Frederick County, PO Box 1799, Frederick, MD 21702 or the American Cancer Society, 1393 Progress Way, Suite 908, Eldersburg, MD 21784.
