Arthur Sexton, Jr.

Mr. Arthur Lee Sexton, Jr., 60, of Damascus, MD passed away Friday, August 12, 2016 at his home. He was the husband of Emaline "Tina" Sexton.

Born May 12, 1956 in Bethesda, MD, he was the son of Hazel Marie Meadows Sexton of Myrtle Beach, SC and the late Arthur Lee Sexton, Sr.

Arthur was a devoted grandfather also known as Dada and Pap, husband, father and brother. He enjoyed working on cars, tinkering, fishing and hunting in his younger days. Most importantly he loved spending time with his family. Arthur was very proud of his first grandchild who is a Mt. Airy volunteer firefighter and one of his biggest joys is when his youngest granddaughter would dance and sing songs to him. His oldest granddaughter would light up a room whenever she came into where he was. And last but not least his youngest grandson who he called little man. In addition to his grandchildren one daughter than he loved with all his heart and a daughter -in-law that was always like a daughter to him and his son that he was very proud of the man he became. And last but not least his wife will miss him until death she does part. And he will also be greatly missed by his mother, sisters and brother.

In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by Arthur Sexton, III and wife Jennifer of Damascus, Patricia Merritt and husband Patrick of Martinsburg, WV; grandchildren Michael Hott, Victoria Sexton , McKenzie Sexton , Jacoby Sexton all of Damascus; sister-in-law Penny Gray of Damascus; Rose Gray of Damascus; siblings Steve Sexton, Shirley Lockwood, Katherine Walker, Anna Gibson and Florence Smith and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridgeville Blvd., Mt. Airy on Tuesday August., 16, 2016 from 6-9PM where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 17 at 10AM.

Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
