Arthur Droe

Mr. Arthur K. Droe, 58, of Frederick, died Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at home with his family by his side.
Born March 20, 1959 in Pleeboe, Liberia, he was the son of the late Tweh and Maila (Weh) Droe.
Arthur worked as the Controller at World Resources Institute for 23 years. He was an accounting professor at Strayer University for over 10 years. Additionally, he served on the board of charitable organizations.
He loved watching sports especially soccer, listening to music, reading current events, and traveling.
He is survived by four children, Ada Droe of Frederick, Maila Droe of Arlington, VA, Arthur Droe and Marion Droe, both of Frederick; granddaughter, Karley Robinson; former wife, Vera Jackson; and many relatives in Monrovia, Liberia.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 9 p.m. on Friday, November 3, 2017 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 703 W Patrick St., Frederick, where funeral services will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, November 4. Officiating will be The Rev. Dr. Eliezer Valentín-Castañón and The Rev. Dr. Charles S.G. Boayue, Jr.
Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
