Ardeth (Crim) Moler, 82, of Knoxville, Maryland, loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday afternoon, July 25, 2014, at the Kline Hospice House in Mt. Airy, Maryland.
Born on October 17, 1931, in Hillsboro, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late George Samuel and Sylvia Arbutus (Longerbeam) Crim.
Ardeth was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church in Brunswick, Maryland.
Her early working career began at Whitmore and Arnold Machinery Company in Purcellville, Virginia and later with Ft. Detrick in Frederick, Maryland, where she was a professional secretary for both companies. After her work with Ft. Detrick, she stayed at home and raised her daughter and son.
Ardeth is survived by her loving husband, Robert K. Moler, whom she married on September 12, 1953; her daughter, Amy Moler and her husband, Phillip Ash, of Virginia Beach, Virginia; her son, James Moler and his wife, Dorothy, of Jefferson, Maryland; her five grandchildren, Rowan, Morgan, and Alex Ash, Joseph Reeff and Aaron Moler; her sister, Phoebe J. Mikalaski and her husband, Milton; and her brother, Edgar "Ted" Crim and his wife, Jackie. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, 1100 North Maple Avenue, Brunswick, Maryland 21716. The Rev. Katie Bishop and Pastor Noni Sigler will officiate. Following the service at the funeral home, the family will receive friends for a time of fellowship and gathering at New Hope United Methodist Church, 7 South Maryland Avenue, Brunswick, Maryland. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 31, 2014, at Hillsboro Cemetery in Hillsboro, Virginia.
Family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at the funeral home.
