On February 17, 2023, Anthony Jerome Holloway died peacefully in his home in Frederick, MD after a long battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). He was 62 years of age.
Anthony is survived by his wife Deloise Holloway of Frederick, MD; his son Jeremiah Ganeto of Adelphi, MD; his parents Conrade and Mabel Holloway of Radcliff, KY; his brother Vincent Holloway (Charlotte) of Havre de Grace, MD; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Anthony was born on September 26, 1960 at Fort Meade, MD. He graduated from North Hardin High School (Radcliff, KY) in 1978. He attended the University of Kentucky (UK) and worked various jobs in Lexington as a student. Anthony left UK in 1984 and took a job with the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) in Washington, DC. He had an extremely successful law enforcement career within the Bureau, rising from Private to Chief of Police. He retired from the Bureau in 2016 after 32 years of faithful service. At retirement, Anthony contemplated a second career working security with the National Football League before being diagnosed with ALS.
With Anthony, his faith and family were first in his life. Anthony loved his immediate and extended family and spoke fondly of the men and women that he served with on the BEP police force. Anthony was also an avid football and basketball fan. His favorite teams were the Pittsburgh Steelers and the University of Kentucky Wildcats.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, February 24, 2023 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, Maryland 21702. The funeral will follow at 11 a.m. A reception will immediately follow the service.
Interment will be private.
