Mrs. Ann R. Fry, 72, of Middletown, died Saturday evening, February 10th, at the Kline Hospice House. She was the wife for 50 years to Robert Bob C. Fry.
Born in Frederick on April, 27, 1934 she was the daughter of the late Kathryn (Kottmyer) and Frank Rothenhoefer. A graduate of the University of Maryland, Ann was the librarian at Thomas Johnson High School for 28 years earning the love and respect of the teachers, students and her colleagues that she served during that time.
A life long member of Calvary United Methodist Church, she was an avid reader and enjoyed collecting antiques. A loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother, she will be missed by all that were fortunate to have met her in the life's journey.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Robert C. Fry, Jr. of Hockessin, DE, and W. Brian Fry of Frederick; her loving granddaughters, Rebecca and Rachel Fry of Hockessin; two brothers, Frank W. Rothenhoefer, Jr. and wife Ethel of Frederick, and Robert Rothenhoefer and wife Joan of Middletown; sister-in-law Dorothy McGinnis and husband Paul of Southbury, CT and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation: The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 PM at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD.
Services: Services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, February 15th at 10:00 AM officiated by Rev. Janice E. Daffern. Interment will follow in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Middletown, with her nieces and nephews serving as pallbearers.
