Mrs. Annie V. Koontz, 93 of Jefferson, Maryland passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2013 at the Kline Hospice House. She was the wife of the late Leroy Cooper and the late Ralph Koontz.
Born, June 23, 1920 in Lovettsville, Virginia she was the daughter of the late Charles and May Painter.
She was a member of the Church of God in Boonsboro. She was employed in her earlier years with Price Electric in Brunswick and Frederick, the Umbrella Factory in Brunswick and Byrds Packing House in Charles Town. She enjoyed fishing and also making apple butter.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Cherry Cooper Whitmore, her stepchildren, Judy Virts, Edmund Koontz and Holly Summers, grandchildren, John Cooper, Mike Cooper, Jeanie Stephens, step grandchildren, Stacey Carroll, Tina Carroll, R. Edmund Carroll, Judy Smith, Nicole Wangness, Heidi Chisholm, Tauri Munger and Merick Summers and 15 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her children, Pete Cooper and Lorena Papalardo.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 North Maple Ave., Brunswick on Wednesday, December 18th from 6:00-9:00PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, December 19th at 11:00AM with Pastor Virginia Price officiating.
Interment will be in Knoxville Reformed Cemetery.
