Anne D. Grove

Anne D. Grove , 96, of Frederick, Maryland, passed from this life on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at her home with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late John "Jack" L. Grove.

Born on November 11, 1928, in Frederick, MD, she was the daughter of the late Randy and Olive (East) Shelhorse.

Anne was a graduate of Frederick High School. She was employed by the Department of Energy for 14 years as a switchboard operator. Anne was a member of South End Baptist Church and enjoyed crossword puzzles, baking, and flowers. She was proud of being part of establishing Kids Incorporated in the 1960's in Frederick, MD. 

She is survived by her children, Sharon L. Putnam and husband John "Boo" of Thurmont, and Eric S. Grove of Frederick; grandchildren, Shawn Putnam and wife Kathy and Chad Putnam and wife Heather; great-grandchildren, Lexi, Jack and Nick, Hailey and Brooke. 

She was preceded in death by her brothers, James, Randy, John and Bently Shelhorse and her sisters, Eleanor, Jane and Nellie. 

Services and interment will be private.
