Anna T. Miss

Mrs. Anna T. Miss, 93, of Frederick, died on Saturday, November 8, at Northampton Manor in Frederick. She was the wife of the late Robert E. Miss, Sr,. who died in 1991.

Born on August 23, 1915, in Brainard, NE, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Annie Bittman Pazdersky.

She was a food service worker in the Elm Street School cafeteria for 17 years during the 1950-60's; and was a life member of the American School Food Service, Maryland School Food Service and Frederick County Food Service Associations. Also in the 1960's, Anna received the State of Maryland School Food Service Award.

Mrs. Miss was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Frederick and a 1932 graduate of St. John's High School. She enjoyed sewing and crochetting; making baby blankets and afghans for her family members, and while living in Florida, loved tending to her flower garden. Anna also enjoyed taking drives throughout the Frederick County area.

Surviving are 4 sons: Robert Miss and wife Judith of Dobbs Ferry, NY, James Miss of Eustis, FL, Thomas Miss and wife Connie of Douglas, GA and Jerry Miss of Frederick; 7 grandchildren: Stephen Miss, David Miss, Sarah Miss, Brandi Miss, Benjamin Miss, Timothy Miss and Melissa Miss; 3 great-grandchildren: Abigail Miss, Stephen Patrick Miss and KayDee Miss.

Visitation: The family will receive friends from 7-9 PM on Wednesday, November 12 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 AM on Thursday, November 13 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 104 E. Second St., Frederick with Rev. Patrick Samway, SJ officiating.

Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
