Anna Mary Elizabeth "Mollie" Snyder
Mrs. Anna Mary Elizabeth Snyder, 91, of Frederick, MD passed away Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Homewood at Crumland Farms. She was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth Snyder and mother of the late Gary Snyder.
Born October 30, 1925 in Lewistown, MD she was the daughter of the late Staley and Bessie Viola Keyser Stull.
Mollie graduated from Frederick High School in 1942 and received her degree in Nursing from Hood College/Johns Hopkins School of Nursing in 1947. She employed her nursing skills at Johns Hopkins, FMH, Frederick County Schools and ended her career as Head Nurse and Psychiatric Nursing Instructor at Springfield Hospital Center. Mollie was an avid gardener and loved bird watching. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children Brian Snyder and wife, Paula, of Annapolis and John Snyder and wife, Jan, of Rockville; grandchildren Kayley Holloway of Clinton, TN, Kyle Snyder of Charleston, SC and Madison Snyder of Annapolis and her great grandchildren Wyatt and Everleigh Holloway.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Friday, February 10, 2017 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 11 at 11AM at the Grace United Church of Christ, 25 East 2nd St., Frederick. Rev. Rob Apgar-Taylor will officiate.
Interment will be at the Faith United Church of Christ at 12:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Grace United Church of Christ.
