Mrs. Anna Mae Fisher Keller Miller, died Sunday September 13, 2009, after years of fighting cancer. She was wife of the late Dwayne C. Bo Keller who was killed in an airplane crash on September 11, 1959.

Anna Mae was born in Frederick County on May 16, 1933. She was the daughter of the late Oscar D. and Pearl E. Fisher.

Anna Mae married Fay L. Miller in 1960 and they were married for twenty-four and a half years, until his death on March 15, 1985.

She was a graduate of Frederick High School class of 1951.

She was the first female licenced general aviation pilot in Frederick County.

Anna Mae worked at the Frederick Trading Company, Waverley Elementary, Walkersville Middle and Walkersville High Schools and for Genstar.

She was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Frederick. At the church she served as an usher for 8:00am service, as a dining and kitchen hostess for the Men's Club, as a church greeter, as well as an Altar Committee helper.

She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion Post 11, the AARP chapter 636 (where she served three two year terms as secretary and Public Relations Chair), the 1951 Class Reunion Committee, and the Ladies of the Moose Auxiliary, Rainbow Belles, and was also a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW.

The joy of and love of her life were her three grandchildren, her family and friends. She enjoyed golf and played with the Glade Valley Ladies 9- hole and 18- hole golf leagues. She enjoyed judging at county fairs and community shows and was certified in many categories. She spent many years in the Farm and Garden Building at the Frederick Fair.

Surviving are a loving and devoted daughter, FayeAnn Miller King and her husband Darrin P. King of Libertytown, a devoted son , Scott D. Miller and wife Pam H. Miller of Middletown. One step-daughter Sandra Miller of California. The apple of her eye, her three grandchildren, Grayson P. King, Kennedy A. King both of Libertytown and Kaylie N. Miller of Middletown.

Five brothers Charles D. Fisher and wife Jo of Las Vegas, Nevada; Oscar U. Fisher and wife Alice of Frederick; Franklin L. Fisher and wife Marty of Frederick; Donald W. Fisher and wife Ann of South Carolina; and Robert L. Fisher and wife Janice of Burlington, West Virginia. Two sisters Mildred E. Wineke and husband Fred of Port Orange, Florida and Frances I. Scott and husband Russell of Temple Hills, Maryland, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She will be remembered by very special friends: Lois Cline, Jean Grant, Kathleen Hall, Sandy Blizzard Duvall, Reid and Rhea Leslie, Deidre Stroffregan and her many friends at church, golf, AARP, Rainbow Belles and the numerous friends she has met along the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Dwayne C. Bo Keller, husband Fay L. Miller, and several friends: Mary McKnight, Nancy Koogle and Nancy Wiles.

Anna Mae was very thankful to Dr. Gregory Rausch and his staff for the many years of care given her.

Visitation: The family will receive friends from 3-5 & 7-9pm on Tuesday September 15 at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick.

Services: Funeral services will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday September 16, at 11:00am. Pastor Barbara J. Bornemann will officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
