Annabell Lee Smith

Born Annabell Lee, departed this world, Annabell Smith, age 90, on Thursday, February 8, 2023 at her home in Frederick, Maryland.

Born on July 16, 1932, to the late Watt Lacy Lee and Vallie Virginia (Biggus) Skinner.

Annabell attended the old New Market School in New Market, Maryland. She then attended Lincoln High School in Frederick. She left high school early to assist her mother with her younger siblings. Later, at a corner store in Fountain Mills, she met the father of her children, the late William Lester Timpson. 

Annabell and Lester were blessed with eight beautiful children, Brenda Lee of Columbia, Maryland, Barbara Smith of West Virginia, Rose Mendoza (Joaquin) of Hyattsville, Maryland, and Dessie Camara of York, Pennsylvania; brothers, Williams and Ernest Russell; and sister, Carolyn Talley (Kelly Lee); and also her nine grandchildren and great-grandchildren with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and long time friends. She was preceded in death by three sons and one daughter, Kenneth, William, Michael and Peggy Lee; and her siblings, Watt, Joseph, William, John, Delores Peach and James. 

Annabell had several jobs that included working as a farm hand tending to assorted farm animals. She worked as a cleaner for a few office buildings. Annabell shared a job with her youngest sister and her younger son gathering old newspapers for recycling. Finally, her last job was a truck driver for a trash company. Later, she was introduced to her long time companion, Samuel Graham, by her daughter, Peggy.
