Anna Lavene Stouffer , 90, of Boonsboro, Maryland, passed from this life on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at her home in Boonsboro, Maryland. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles O. Stouffer.
Born on December 5, 1931, in Washington County, Maryland. Anna was the daughter of the late Ernest Frisbee (Boyd) and Sally Catherine (Clopper) Mills.
Anna was a member of Mt. Lena United Methodist Church, where she was part of the Apple Dumpling Gang. Every Sunday her group of friends went to a different place to eat lunch. She loved to cook and will always be remembered for cooking for hundreds of people in her community. Anna was known for her pies. Coconut cream, banana cream, lemon meringue, pumpkin and egg custard.
Anna loved watching the Baltimore Orioles games, game shows, soap operas and westerns. She loved her crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles and playing cards. She loved gardening with her husband and canning. One of mom’s favorite things to do was to watch her hummingbirds and birds.
She is survived by Daughter, Robin D. Grim (Leslie) of Boonsboro and her son, Terry W. Stouffer (Sharon) of Boonsboro; brothers, Marvin G. Mills of Hagerstown, and John E. Mills of Clear Spring; grandchildren, Matthew Grim, Jessica Grim Price(Tommy) Brandon Stouffer, Ashley Tosten(Will) and Jessica Fisher(Zach), daughter Zoey.
Dearly loved seeing great granddaughter:Mackenzie Tosten and was looking forward to meeting and seeing the new great grandson Ryder Tosten.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Kenneth Mills, Clarence Mills, Lewis Mills, Lloyd Mills, Robert Mills and Theodore Mills. Brothers deceased at birth Guy and Ernest. Her sisters, Edna Keplinger, Mildred Hoffman, and Martha Rider.
The family will receive friends from 5PM to 7PM on Friday, August 5, 2022, at Bast Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, MD.
A celebration of Anna's life journey will take place at 11:30AM on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Mt. Lena UMC, 21234 Mt. Lena Rd., Boonsboro, MD. Rev. Ron Kurtz will officiate. Interment will be at Mt. Lena United Methodist Church Cemetery.
