Anna Jane Michael

Anna Jane Michael, 102, of Walkersville, Maryland, passed from this life on Friday, October 25, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas Cramer Michael, Sr.

Born on July 3, 1922, in Frederick, MD, she was the daughter of the late Edward Russell and Edith (Burrier) Gearinger .

Anna worked for East Coast Relay Station, retiring as a secretary to the commanding officer. She was an avid reader, and bingo player, loved traveling to Reno to visit her West Coast family, and loved spending time with all her family. Anna enjoyed sports, especially, Maryland Terps basketball, the Baltimore Orioles, and the Ravens football team. 

She is survived by her two children, daughter, Connie Sue Katz, and son, Charles Robert Michael (Diane); and daughter-in-law, Linda Michael; grandchildren, Mischelle Leach (Greg), Chad Dehne (Cyndi), Jamie Petrosky (Sonny), Jason Michael (Kristen), Sarah Michael, Ilene Evans, Stephanie Eagen (Cameron) and Brian Boone (Gina) and many, many great and great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son Thomas C. Michael, Jr., granddaughter, Andie Marie Petrosky, her grandson, Jaron Ivey; two brothers, Charles Gearinger and Robert Gearinger and her sister Mary Alice Hammond. 

The family will receive friends from 4-7 pm on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, and 12-1pm on Thursday, November 7, at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A. (Fred), 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick, MD. A celebration of Anna's life journey will take place at 1 pm on Thursday, November 7 at Stauffer Funeral Home, Frederick. 

Interment will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Frederick, MD.
