Mrs. Anna Mary May, 77, of Frederick, Maryland passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Arthur May.
Born July 19, 1934 in Frederick, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Fogle Miss.
Mrs. May attended the Lewistown United Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, her dogs Luxy and Blue, knitting, crossword puzzles, bingo and especially going to Daybreak.
She is survived by three children Beverly Scheetz and husband Bill of Frederick, Arthur May and wife Sharon of Ranson, WV, and Hank May and wife Trish of Frederick, grandchildren Loretta Smith and husband Wayne, Jennifer Harrison and husband Brian, Will Scheetz and wife Melissa, Henry Scheetz, and Christina May, great-grandchildren Shawn Harrison, Kyle Harrison, Angel Scheetz, Dylan Scheetz, Landon Scheetz, Gavin Scheetz and Owen Scheetz, sisters Melinda Hahn and Katie Lane. Many nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by a son Lester May, a brother Frank Miss, Jr. and a sister Effie Bargis.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Friday, August 26, from 2 -4 and 7 – 9 p.m., where service will be held Saturday, August 27, at 11:00 am, with Pastor Elza Hurst officiating.
Interment Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
