Anna Mae (Sigler) Smith, 81, of Boonsboro, Maryland and formerly of Middletown, Maryland passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 28, 2010 at Reeders Memorial Home in Boonsboro.
Born on September 26, 1928, in Frederick County, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late George H. Sigler and Mary (Lapole) Sigler.
Anna was preceded in death by one sister, Alice I. Myers; two brothers, George H. Sigler, Jr. and Earl G. Sigler.
She was a member of Boonsboro Bible Church.
Anna was a former employee of Maryland Oddfellows Home in Frederick, Maryland and was also a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Hubert R. Smith of Middletown, Maryland; one son, Ronald B. Bruckman of Hampstead, Maryland; three brothers, Charles L. Sigler of Frederick, Maryland, Raymond W. Sigler of Middletown, Maryland, and Guy R. Sigler of Myersville, Maryland; and three grandchildren.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro. The Rev. Robert Welty will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at the funeral home.
The family request the omission of flowers with memorial donations made payable to Boonsboro Bible Church, 6741 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, Maryland 21713.
