Anna Catherine Kunz, 89, of Boonsboro, Maryland, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2016, at her home, surrounded by her family.
Born on October 6, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Horace and Ella (Anderson) Renner. She is also preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Ernest Tennant Kunz, Sr.
Anna was a member of the Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church.
She really enjoyed cooking and baking. Anna cooked for the Fairplay Carnival and every Sunday for family and friends.
She was a member of the Mason Dixon Antique Car Club with her husband.
Anna was a very family oriented, warm hearted, good person who enjoyed entertaining others.
She had a special place in her heart for wounded veterans. She enjoyed volunteering and contributing to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV), Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA), the Soldier's Angels and the Wounded Warriors.
She is survived by her children, Ellen JoAnn Carson and husband Paul of Boonsboro, Sharon Sue Clevenger and husband Earl of Boonsboro, Connie Jane Wilson and Russell Smith of Warfordsburg, PA, Ernest Tennant Kunz, Jr and wife Betty Lou of Frederick, MD, and Robert Leslie Kunz and June of Kearneysville, WV; sisters, Virginia Kline and Frances Norris both of Hagerstown, MD; grandchildren, Ernie, Anita, Paul, Lisa, Annie, Eric and Brandy; great-grandchildren, Wes, Mitch, Dallas, Ashley, Kayla, Levi, Soleil, Bobby, Solena, Isaac, Steven, Hannah, and Katherine; great-great-grandchildren, Parker, Gabe, Brooklyn, Izabella and Avery; and her puppies, Bootsy, Bearley, Baby Boy, Odie, Lola and Gizmo.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters Mae, Louise, Elsie and Lorraine; brother, Howard; puppies, King One and King Two.
A Funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday, May 29, 2016, at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, Maryland. The Rev. Richard G. Hembrock will officiate. Interment will follow at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Boonsboro, Maryland.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at the funeral home.
