Mrs. Anna Mary Esposito, 86, of Mt. Airy, died peacefully after a short illness on May 27, 2012, surrounded by family and friends at Dove Hospice House, Westminster, MD. She was the loving wife of Michael N. Esposito who died in 1978.
Born on May 4, 1926 in Mechanicsville, NY she was the daughter of the late Palmerino and Arcangela Delguinis Fargnoli.
Anna was an accomplished musician and devoted her life to many churches starting with St. Peters, Olney, St Martins, Gaithersburg, where she started the group” Voices of Praise” then went on to St. Rose of Lima, Germantown, Mother Seton Parish, Germantown, and finally after over 22 year of service at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Poplar Springs, MD. she retired in 2008.
Surviving are her two children, Michael P. Esposito, of Mt. Airy, and Marta A. Esposito and Fiancé Glenn Robertson also of Mt. Airy. Grandchildren Capt. Shawn Robertson and wife April of Colonial Heights, VA, and Wesley Robertson and wife Heidi of Owings Mill, MD. Sister of Lucy Golden of Mecanicsville, NY. Godmother of Protégé, Joche Wilmot, of Gaithersburg, MD., Susan Murray and husband Tom of Woodbine and Todd D. Wynn of Mt. Airy. Anna was predeceased in death by her siblings Angie Morocco, Phillip Fargnoli and Anthony Fargnoli, Angelo Fargnoli and Joseph Farnoli.
Visitation will be held from 6-9pm on Thursday May 31, 2012 at the Stauffer Funeral Home. 8 East Ridgeville Blvd. Mt. Airy, MD 21771. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered, at 11:00am on Friday June 1, 2012, St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 1125 St. Michaels Church Road. Mt. Airy, MD. Interment will be Private at St. Mary’s. Catholic Church Cemetery, Barnsville, MD.
In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Anna’s name to St. Michael’s Catholic Church in C/O the Anna Esposito Endowment Fund.
