Ann Warner

February 14, 1934 — February 29, 2016

Mrs. Ann E. (Schindler) Warner, 82, of Frederick, MD passed away peacefully Monday, February 29, 2016 at her home. She was the devoted wife of the late Wallace E. Warner for 55 years.

Born February 14, 1934 in Baltimore, MD she was the daughter of the late Henry E. and Janet Colgan Schindler.

Ann proudly graduated from Seton High in 1951. Ann was a homemaker and was a shining example of love to everyone who met her. Her faith and dedication to God and the Blessed Mother were steadfast and her belief in the power of prayer was second to none. She overflowed with love for her family and always had a smile on her face and looked at the bright side in spite of her challenges with cancer for the past 10 years. She was the sweetest person you could ever meet as well as determined and resilient. She was like a second mother to many and her kindness and caring were obvious to anyone that came into contact with her.

She enjoyed holding babies, meeting new people, going out to dinner and shopping. She made everyone feel special.

She is survived by her children Richard Warner (Diana) of Clear Spring, Thomas Warner (Diana), James Warner, and Janice Dorcus (Andrew) all of Frederick, her grandchildren Monica, Melissa, Diana, Janet, Jesse, Nichole, David and Lea, great grandchildren Konner, James, Kaylie and Victoria.

The family would like to thank Dr. Ashwal, Dr. Rausch, Dr. Goldstein and Hospice of Frederick County for their compassion and kindness. I know they will never forget her sense of humor and optimistic attitude.

The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Thursday, March 3, 2016 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 pm on Friday, March 4, at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church, 8651 Biggs Ford Road, Walkersville, MD 21793, with Father Keith Boisvert as celebrant.

Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Contributions may be made in her honor to St. Katharine Drexel Memorial Fund, 8428 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD 21702 in order to arrange an appropriate memorial in the new church.
