Ann Clabaugh

Ann Clare Clabaugh,80 , born January 1, 1935 in Gettysburg, PA to Pauline and Charles Ridenour entered into eternal life peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, May 1, 2015.

Ann attended St. Anthony's Grade School and graduated from St. Joseph's High School in 1953. After High School she attended Business School. After Business School she worked for the U.S. Army, retiring after 35 years. Later in life she volunteered at St. Catherine's in Emmitsburg, MD. Ann enjoyed reading, going to the beach and riding on her son's pontoon and back yard barbecues with her family.

Surviving are her husband of 60 years Russell Clabaugh; her children, daughter Debra Brannon and husband Michael, son, Mark Clabaugh; sister Mary Kramer; grandchildren Russell Brannon and wife Kate, Patrick Brannon and fiance Beth Stephan; great-grandchildren Sara-Kate and Eleanor Brannon and numerous nieces and nephews. She will also be remembered by her extended family Jane and Dave Bates, and son Ethan.

She is preceded in death by her daughter Kathy Marie Clabaugh and a brother, Edward Ridenour.

The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 E. Main St. Thurmont on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 6, at 11AM at St. Anthony Shrine Parish, 16150 St. Anthony Rd., Emmitsburg, MD. Father Brian Nolan will be the celebrant.

Interment will be private.
