Anita Lerner
January 22, 1924 — January 18, 2017
Mrs. Anita Lerner, 92, of Silver Spring, lately of Edenton Retirement Community in Frederick, MD. , passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2017. She was the wife of Bernard Lerner who passed away in 2009. They were married for 61 years.
Born January 22, 1924 in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Simon L. Greenberg and Mary A. Fuse Greenberg.
After graduating from Roosevelt High school in 1942 Anita enjoyed working as a stenographer. Upon starting her family Anita became a dedicated homemaker. She dearly loved her family and enjoyed a lifetime of wonderful friendships.
Anita is survived by two children, Jeanne Fulk and husband, Ronnie, of Frederick, and Linda Lerner of Gaithersburg; two grandchildren, Tracey Cannon and husband, Dave, and Danny Deavers, Jr. and wife, Tara; two step grandchildren, Ron Fulk and wife, Hydie Fulk, and Crystal Brockey and husband, Tony; four great-grandchildren, Maxwell Cannon, Mattingly Cannon, Delilah Deavers and Daisy Deavers; three step great-grandchildren Dominic Fulk, Jacob and Natalie Jamison. She will be remembered by niece , Sharon Lerner Baker , Nephew, Joel Lerner; devoted family Danny Deavers ,Sr. and wife, Laurie.
Our family is so grateful for the love and care our Mother received while living at Edenton.
Private graveside services were held Monday, January 23, at King David Memorial Gardens, Falls Church, VA. Rabbi Maltzman officiated.
A memorial honoring Anita will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday February 12th at Edenton Retirement Community, 5800 Genesis Lane, Frederick, MD with Chaplain Jean Brown officiating Enter campus off of Crestwood Blvd. and make a right at first stop sign.
