Anita Curtis
January 21, 1919 — July 16, 2016
Mrs. Anita R. Curtis, 97, formerly of Frederick died Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Fahrney-Keedy Memorial Home where she had resided. She was the wife of the late Richard C. Curtis, who predeceased her in 2000.
Born January 21, 1919 in Clarendon County, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Juanita (Truitt) and David D. Register.
Prior to moving to Assisted Living, she was a member of the Rosedale Homemakers. She was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church and the Friendly Bible Class.
Surviving are one daughter, Lynda Anne Curtis of Winchester, Virginia; one son, Raymond Alan Curtis of Charles Town, West Virginia; two granddaughters, Kelli Anne Carpenter of Morrisville, NC and Cathy Lynn Meyer of Glen Allen, Virginia; and great-grandchildren, Ethan Schachinger of Morrisville, NC, and Lauren and Ashley Meyer of Glen Allen, VA.
She was predeceased by a grandson, Steven Curtis of Summerville, SC.
Graveside services will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Those wishing to attend should assemble by 11:20 a.m. in front of the FSK Chapel at the cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. Harry C. Cole.
