Angela Raper

Mrs. Angela Marie Raper, 83, of Mt. Airy died on Friday, May 21, 2010, at her residence. She was the wife of Charles Benson Raper, her husband of 61 years.

Born on April 17, 1927, in Mankato, MN she was the daughter of the late John Elmer and Lillian Sutherland Nelson. She was a homemaker. Angela had a steadfast love of the Lord and treasured the time she spent with her family.

Surviving in addition to her husband are 3 children: Jenne L. Valentino of Mt. Airy, Mark R. Raper and wife Julie of New Market, and Craig N. Raper of Glendale, CA; 4 grandchildren: Angela M. Valentino and partner Nick Myers of Taylorsville, Gina A. Gamber and husband Tim of Frederick, Nicholas A. Valentino of Mt. Airy and Christopher Raper of Glendale, CA; 3 great grandchildren: Bella Gamber, Benson Gamber and Alyssa Myers; 4 brothers and sisters: Dean Nelson and wife Myrt, Ginger Olsen and husband Wyn, Joan Salseth, and John Nelson and wife Betty Lou.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Monday, May 24, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridgeville Blvd. in Mt. Airy. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 25, at Calvary Baptist Church, 2127 Old Liberty Rd., Westminster with Pastor Tim Leaman officiating.

Interment will be in Columbia Memorial Gardens, Clarksville.
