On December 28, 2020, Andromedia (Ann) Cady Bright – 82 of Mount Airy, MD, peacefully passed away at Frederick Memorial Hospital. Beloved wife of the late Tommy Bright, Ann is survived by her three children Paulette (Neil) Sweeney, Michael (Kim) Bright, and Kristen (Rick) Eikenberg; Grandchildren Neil Sweeney II, Melanie Sweeney, Andromedia Sweeney, Tammy Sweeney, Rebekah (Phillip) Lee, Justin (Kelly) Bright, JT (Kayleigh) Bright, James (Bethany) Bright, Terri Dean, and Shelly Dean; 4 great grandchildren Carter Bright, Davis Bright, Owen Lee, Aubrey Bright, with baby Bright expected in June; Aunt, Lucile Edwards; In laws Jimmy Bright, Jackie Bright, JD (Vicki) Bright, Penny Weadon, Susie Gauzza, many cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends. Born and raised in Nashville, TN growing up with her close family including Gayle (Jerry) Trousdale, Annette (David) Williams, Teresa (Barry) Piggott, and Jimmy Beasley, relocated to the Washington Metro Area in 1956 where she briefly attended the American University before marring the love of her life, Tommy on August 30, 1958, Ann worked briefly following her marriage after having her second child she became a homemaker raising her beloved children. After the passing of her husband in 1990 she did return to the work force where she held several part-time and fulltime positions. She was a dedicated Sunday School Teacher working with children at Colesville Baptist Church in Silver Spring, MD for over 30 years where she also enjoyed working with the hospitality committee organizing functions. Ann was proceeded in death by her devoted companion Trygve Blorstad of 16+ years. She will be missed by her “adopted” Blorstad Family. Up until her passing she continued to bless those around her with her gift of baking and numerous sewing projects. On Tuesday, January 12, 2021, the immediate family will lay her to rest at the National Memorial Park Cemetery, Falls Church, VA. A memorial service and celebration of her life will be held in 2021, the date is TBD. In lieu of flowers, we suggest contributions be made to your local church, National Cancer Society, or The American Red Cross.
