Andrew Probert

Mr. Andrew J. Probert "Andy", 67, of Frederick died Friday, June 3, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family . He was the devoted husband of Denise J. Probert.
Andy was born April 24, 1949 in Sterling, MA, and was the son of the late Otis and Frances (Ballou) Probert.
Andy was a retired Army veteran, who served with the US Army Corps of Engineers in Vietnam. He was awarded two bronze stars for valor in combat. He was a senior electronics technician with API Technologies Weinschel in Frederick for the past 10 years. He enjoyed tinkering with computers, reading and gardening.
In addition to his wife of 41 years, he is survived by two children, son Cameron J. Probert and his wife, Elisa of Soap Lake WA. daughter Kara J. Probert-Dempsey and her husband, Shawn; grandson, Liam Dempsey of Baltimore MD; two brothers, David L. and Charles O. Probert; and two sisters, Grace Sexton and Fran A Vian.
Andy was predeceased by a brother, Thomas H. Probert in 2014.
The family is receiving friends from 3 to 4 p.m. on Friday, June 17, 2016 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike. A memorial service begins at 4 p.m. Officiating is the Rev. Tim May.
