Amonica A Griffith, 44, of Keedysville went to be with the Lord on Tuesday February 25, 2014 at Suburban Hospital. She was the cherished Wife of William E. “Bill” Griffith, Sr.
Amonica was born on March 5, 1969 in Takoma Park. She was survived by her children William E. Griffith, Jr. of Raleigh, NC and Brittani A. Griffith of Keedysville.
Also surviving are her parents Leland and Elva Barnette Johnson of Knoxville, MD. Brothers Carl Johnson and Wife Loretta, Chester Johnson, and Anthony Johnson.
Amonica was proceeded in death by her son Douglas and her brother Leland Johnson Jr.
Amonica was a proud business woman, devout partner and co-owner of Tri-County Pump Service. She was innovative and proactive continuously staying ahead of every curve. She was always intrigued by the components of success and implementing them.
She had an eye for decorating, design and painting that no one could deny. Amonica loved to share these talents with others at any given opportunity.
Amonica was a woman of God and strangers often experienced a sweet presence. She was a woman of purpose and vision. If she had a vision nothing was to great nor impossible. There was always an avenue for achievement. Her love for people and family was unconditional and without question. Her dedication to family and people was un-waving. Amonica was a genuinely compassionate soul who privately touched many lives. Her love and care knew neither limits nor boundaries. She was a member of Calvary Assembly of God in Walkersville.
Visitation will be held on Thursday March 6th 2014 from 5-9 pm at Calvary Assembly of God, 8234 Woodsboro Pike, Walkersville, MD 21793. Services will be held on Friday March 7, 2014 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick, MD.
