Mr. Alton R. Keyser, 91, of Frederick, Maryland, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Glade Valley Nursing Home. He was the husband of Lucille V. Blank Keyser.Alton was born in Frederick on July 7, 1924 the son of the late Raymond and Lenore Harley Keyser.Mr. Keyser served his country in the US Army during WWII. He received a Good Conduct Metal, American Campaign Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal & Bronze Star Attachment (Double), World War II Victory Medal, Honorable Service Lapel Button WWII and Expert Badge & Rifle Bar. After leaving the service he worked as a well driller. Alton was the owner of A. Ray Keyser Pump Co. He was a member of the VFW Post #6658 in Emmitsburg. He enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, fishing and watching western movies.In addition to his wife he is survived by his children Sandra Shoemaker husband Donald of Walkersville, Susan Long husband Gary of Woodsboro, Vickie Myers husband David of Boonsboro, Kathy Camblin, of Martinsburg, WV, Rodney Keyser of Frederick, Jeffrey Keyser wife Christine Kline of Thurmont, and Randy Keyser wife Loretta of Frederick, grandchildren Shane, Candy, Holly, Courteney, Christopher, Danny, Chad, Kelly, Michael, Amber and Matthew, many great-grandchildren, and a sister Sara Jane Morgan. He was preceded in death by a sister Thelma Hartsock, and brothers Bernard, Barry, Melvin, Max, Marcus, Ellis, Austin and Kenneth.The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Monday, September 21, from 2-4 and 7-9:00 pm, where services will be held Tuesday, September 22, at 11:00 am with Rev.
