Alma Ruth "Nancy" Crampton, 72, of Sharpsburg, Maryland, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 20, 2021.
Born on January 18, 1949, in Caretta, West Virginia. She was a proud coal miner's daughter of the late James Clarence Jenkins and Georgia Lee (Tipton) Jenkins.
Nancy retired from federal service after 31 years and spent all of her adult years as a devoted wife and mother. She married the love of her life, Clifford A. "Buster" Crampton on January 21, 1967. Married for 54 years, they made a beautiful life together and had two sons. She was the anchor for her family and there was nothing she enjoyed more than spending time with them. She was a devoted woman of faith, and shared her love for the Lord with others. Nancy was a member of Covenant Baptist Church in Shepherdstown, West Virginia.
In addition to her beloved and loving husband, Cliff A. "Buster" Crampton, left to cherish her memory are her sons, Mike Crampton and his wife, Lorrie, and Tom Crampton and his wife, Melissa; grandson, Josh Crampton; granddaughter, Madison Crampton; her sister, Mildred Senter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
A private Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Children's Hospital Foundation.
