Ms. Allison Soojung Burkett, 26 of Mt. Airy,
died on Sunday February 19, 2012.
She was born on October 17, 1985 in Pusan, Korea, she was the daughter of
William Paul and Mary Jo Strong Burkett of Mt. Airy.
She was a member of St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, Poplar Springs, Mt. Airy, She was a loving mother and homemaker.
In addition to her parents she is survived by her daughter Emma Josephine Burkett of Mt. Airy, her brother, Ryan S. Burkett of Mt. Airy. Paternal grandparents, William R. and Verna A. Burkett of Creasaptown, MD. Aunts; Marjorie J. Fazzalore and husband Rob of Keyser, WV, Marge Palmer and husband Paul of LaJolla, CA, Dorothy Scharf and husband William of Charlestown, WV and Joan Sarfino and husband Gregory of Bethesda. Uncle William Wiltison of Jacksonville, FL. Also survived by numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Joseph L. and A. Margaret Strong, and an aunt Irene Wiltison.
Visitation will be held on Friday March 2, 2012 from 6-9pm at the Stauffer Funeral Homes P. A., 8 East Ridgeville, Blvd, Mt. Airy, MD 21771. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated 11:00am on Saturday March 3, 2012 at St. Michael's Catholic Church , 1200 St. Michael's Road, Mt. Airy, MD 21771.Burial will take place in the St. Michael's Church Cemetery, Poplar Springs, MD.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Community Foundation of Carroll County, 255 Clifton Blvd, Suite 313, Westminister, MD 21157 in preparation for a foundation to be established in Allison's memory.
