Mr. Allen G. Jackson “Gable”, 81, of Frederick, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2014 at Frederick Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
Born December 1, 1932 in Warrenton, VA, he was the son of the late Allen Booker T. Jackson and the late Bertie Hill Jackson.
Gable worked as a welder at Eastalco for 20 years. Gabel enjoyed fishing, traveling, and long rides on his Goldwing Trike. He was a member of Earth, Wheels and Fire Motorcycle Club.
He is survived by four children, Linda D. Brown of Baltimore, MD, Sylvia E. Durant, of Inwood WV, Gabriel Allen Jackson, Jr. and Derrick Bernard Jackson, of Frederick MD; two sisters, Natasha Butler, of Gerrardstown, WV, and Rachelle Jackson of Frederick, MD, a brother, Glenn Jackson of Frederick, MD, three grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; a loving and devoted friend, Clementine “Cookie” Myers, former wife Marie E. Diggs Jackson, special friends, Mr. Charles Wards and Mr. Johnny Gaither; a number of nieces, nephews, including Glenn N. Jackson Jr. of Bronx NY, cousins, and other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by mother Bertie Hill Jackson, father Allen B. Jackson a sister, Susie Grant, and a devoted cousin, Irvine Thomas.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 10:00 AM. at the Stauffer Funeral Home 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick MD. The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM- 10:00AM with services to follow.
Interment will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.
