Allan Eschinger

Allan W. Eschinger, 50, of Keedysville, Maryland, passed from this life on Sunday, February 23, 2014 as a result of a motorcycle accident.

Born on January 5, 1964 in Washington, DC, he is the son of Albert Eschinger of Hagerstown, Maryland, and Patricia Dunnan of Alexandria, Virginia.

Allan attended Thomas Johnson High School in Frederick.

He was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local 100 in Washington, DC, and the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1582 in Brunswick, Maryland.

Allan will be fondly remembered for his social personality and his weekend cookout gatherings with family and friends around his swimming pool. He enjoyed shooting pool on his pool league, hunting at his cabin, and riding his four-wheeler and dirt bike.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Karen E. (Shoemaker) Eschinger of Braddock Heights, Maryland; two sons, Mark A. Eschinger and fiancé Jen Vazquez of Keedysville, and Wade R. Eschinger of Braddock Heights; one brother, Edward Eschinger and wife Sue of Pennsylvania; and four grandchildren, Shawn, Trinity, Brianna and Braydan. He will also be missed by his special friend Jamie Baker of Jefferson, Maryland.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro.   Following this, the family will join with friends at Ge Ge's Place, 208 South Church Street in Sharpsburg for a time of friendship and fellowship.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made a savings account for Allan's son, Wade Eschinger, and forwarded to Middletown Valley Bank, 6721 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, Maryland, 21713.
