Alice Willoughby, age 83 child of God, died peacefully on Wednesday, July 6th at her home in Frederick, MD after a brief illness. Alice was born April 3rd 1933 to Franklyn Smallwood Thompson and Lillian Marie Thompson, formerly Seible in Baltimore, Maryland.
She was survived by her daughters Donna and Diane, son Gunther, adopted daughters Sydney, Ikuko and Rosemary, sister Lillian Freeman and many nieces and nephews. Alice was proceeded in death by her brothers Charles Thompson, Walter Thompson and LeRoy Thompson, her sister Mildred Renehan and her beloved son Paul Willoughby.
Family and friends were Alice’s delight and she was a lifetime fan of Johnny Mathis. A dedicated mother who lavished her love and attention on her children. She was an artist, songstress and writer of tales and her children delighted in her fanciful stories. She taught her children about unconditional love with her servant heart.
Alice’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Chloe, Katie, Crystal, Gail and Mary Lou at Frederick County Hospice.
We joyfully release her to her Lord and Savior and are blessed to know she has shed the pains and ills this world has brought. She is dancing with her Paulie and hearing him whisper the sweet word MaMaMa that she has missed for too long. We do not say goodbye. No, until we meet again!
Family is requesting donations in lieu of flowers be sent to Hospice of Frederick County, P.O. Box 1799, Frederick, MD 21702,
